CP24 blurb on the subway platform- parents admit to snooping on their kids. 50% admit to viewing their kids Facebook page. That’s not snooping it’s parenting. Where the hell are the other 50%? Of course you’d moderate the kids internet usage. You are helping establish what is appropriate for societal consumption and looking out for the kids safety…. This is why I just have a cat. By the way, snooping ? Implying you are sneaking around , sneaking around what? All kinds of things you own and on an animal you created and are responsible for. Some parents don’t know about there child’s cries for help or the cyber bullying that may be there or that their little darling is bullying others. It is your job to moderate the kid or maybe realize they need you. Better yet , just maybe you’ll see that the kid is coming along just great. Take a look around. See what they post and look at and if needed discuss it with them. Do so but do it without accusing and truly because there is a lot out there. All manner of Internet scams. From luring to financial to hate groups.
Outside of that, pay attention. When you find the three grams of pot in their bag or perhaps in the underwear drawer talk to them about it. Take it as an opourtunity to educate the kid. The ups and downs and potential concequences. Heck roll ‘er up and do a double header of Harold and Kumar flicks. They will continue to experiment whether you yell or not , so talk to them like a person. Let them know that you’d rather not have them doing that sort of thing but their health and safety comes first.
Mostly my thoughts on Facebook are for pretend and younger you should absolutely know what’s going on. Later you should be aware that Your kids are using social media and get the gist of it.
… It just blows me away the results of our culture of don’t be a rat and vote them off the island.

Live long and prosper, Barack
I can’t think of a better picture to post today. Here is the President of the United States and Nichelle Nichols who played Uhura on Star Trek: TOS. I wrote about Uhura here.
How neat must it be to have a leader that seems like a real person. espescially being a bit of a geek.

You’re bad at this, Rush Limbaugh. You don’t even understand how babies are made, let alone how people can have sex without making a baby, and you would like the government to take over decision-making on these issues on your say-so. And you don’t get it. You biologically don’t get it. You just don’t understand it. You were absent that day. - Rachel Maddow
Oh Rachel, I love you for this segment.
This segment was flawless.
I love her so much.
Yep!
From what I understand Limbaugh doesn’t know how medications work. He does assume you just take pill after pill after pill.
